College and Career Ready

The College and Career Ready class works with participants to improve their employability, skills in reading, writing and math so they can be “College Ready” for transition into high-demand jobs and certificate programs at Harper College, including Graphic Design, Manufacturing, Technology, Logistics, Health Care, Medical Office Administration, HVAC, Electronics, Certified Nursing Assistant, Human Services and Community Health. The class will also help prepare students to join one of our Adult Career Pathway classes in Manufacturing or Health Care Bridges or our Credential/Certificate Programs.

We teach on-the-job valued work skills such as critical thinking, information technology applications, career management, resume development, soft skills, teamwork and presentations. Guest speakers are invited to speak with the class..

Location: Forest View Educational Center

Classes (13 weeks): Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM-12 noon (in person) OR from 6:00-9:00 PM (online).
